It’s Monday. Time to shake off that weekend feeling and get back to the business of reading and writing.
If you’re a bookcrossing fan, look out for free copies of Black Rabbit Summer, a teen thriller by Kevin Brooks. One hundred copies of the book have been released ‘into the wild’ (a bookcrossing term for leaving books in public places for other people to find and take). The marvellous bookcrossing site has more information on where the books have been left. If you find one, let us know!
In other news, the shortlist for the ‘Oddest Book Title of the Year’ is available on the Bookseller website, Reed Elsevier is to sell its £1bn business magazine division, which includes magazines such as Publishers Weekly, Variety and New Scientist, and this year’s Man Booker Prize will include a ‘Best of Booker’ category.
