In today’s global village, people are migrating in droves for work and leisure. Irrespective of where you are based, you are likely to find publications aimed at a community that’s not local. Alternatively, there are publications in other countries for your migrants of your nationality.
Publications such as these are always on the look out for articles on the different aspects of moving to a new country and making a new life there. Travel articles, how-to pieces, essays, pratical information on schools, hospitals and similar facilities are all important to a newcomer.
Why not use your local information and pitch one of these magazines? And if you have photographs (should be easy to get), that’s even better.
- British Expat magazine (Guidelines here. Does not pay at this time.)
- The Expat Magazine (Singapore)
- The Expat KL Magazine (Malaysia)
- Expatriate Magazine (UK)
- The Telegraph newspaper - Expat section (UK)
- The Guardian newspaper - Guardian Abroad section (UK)
