It is that time of the year again. The to-do lists and resolutions are back in droves. What are your goals as a writer?
Think about what you have acheived in 2007. Have you made any progress with your writing? Did you meet any of your writing goals?
If you didn’t meet your goals, think about what went wrong. Was it lack of time, organisational skills, distractions or not enough motivation? Do you need to take a course or hone up on your writing? Or do you need to find new markets for your work?
Figure out what it is that you need to get where you want to be.
Then do it.

My blog today is about setting goals, and I’ll be talking about how to achieve them in the coming weeks. I also have references listed on today’s blog for three additional articles on goal setting for writers that you might find helpful.
