Here are some tips on making a Reading List for your club:
1. Look at the best-seller lists: The NY Times, USA Today, The Guardian.
2. Look at established book clubs like Oprah’s book club, for example. Do an internet search for reading lists and you’ll find many. Here’s one for inspiration.
3. Browse through online reading guides for ideas.
4. Stick to the ‘favorite’ list.
5. Pick the ‘nominated’ ones : The Man Booker International Prize, The Nobel Prize for literature, The Pulitzer Prize, The Commonwealth Writers’ prize.
